Gilman rallies to knock off Columbus Catholic baseball

GILMAN – Gilman scored a run in the bottom of seventh inning to beat Marshfield Columbus Catholic 5-4 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday.

The Dons led 4-1 after 3½ innings before Gilman rallied with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie it. Gilman then won it in walk-off fashion in the seventh.

Tyler Fuerlinger had a double and two RBIs for Columbus, which is now 5-9 overall and 5-8 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman improves to 11-7 and 8-5 in the conference.

Columbus hosts Spencer on Thursday and Neillsville on Friday in a pair of Cloverbelt East games.
