Four Marshfield boys golfers earn academic all-state honors

The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin announced that four Marshfield High School boys golfers were selected as a 2017 Honors Academic-All State student-athlete.

The GCAW honored a record 395 students from 129 different high school programs this season. Those student-athletes had an average grade-point average of 3.724.

Brendan Schenider, Zach Hanson, Joe Kirschnik and Grant Michaelis from the Marshfield boys golf team were among those to earn academic all-state honors.

Golfers eligible for the award needed to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25, participation in at least 75 percent of their team’s varsity matches, and are a sophomore, junior or senior.
