Spencer baseball drops Cloverbelt East game at Gilman

GILMAN – The Spencer baseball team dropped a weather-shortened Cloverbelt Conference East Division game to Gilman 7-4 on Tuesday at Gilman High School.

The Pirates scored four times in the fifth inning to take the lead and held on as the game was called due to rain in the bottom of the sixth.

Tyler Peterson and Austin Lalicata each had RBI for the Rockets, who fall to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the Cloverbelt East.

Spencer hosts Phillips for a nonconference game on Friday before hosting Gilman for another conference game on Saturday.
