MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point scored in each of the first four innings and finished off a 10-0 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference softball game Tuesday at Madison Field.

The Panthers led 4-0 after three innings and blew the game open with a six-run fourth as they won in five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Maren Sauvageau tossed a two-hit shutout for Stevens Point, which remains undefeated at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the WVC.

Marshfield (4-5, 2-1 WVC) was held to two singles from Shylah Brogan and Lillian Griesbach.

The Tigers will play at Wausau East on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
