STRATFORD – The Stratford softball team finished off a series sweep of Wisconsin Rapids Assumption, downing the Royals 4-0 on Thursday at Hilgemann Field.

Laney Pankratz threw a complete-game one-hitter, finishing with 13 strikeouts and no walks for the Tigers, who improve to 12-6 overall and finish their Marawood Conference South Division season with a 6-4 mark.

A pair of errors led to a run in the bottom of the first for Stratford, and the Tigers poured on three more in the second on an RBI single by Carly Pankratz and a two-run double by Emma Roeper.

Pankratz did the rest, allowing just one baserunner past the second inning and that came on an error.
