ABBOTSFORD – The Auburndale girls basketball team crushed Athens 66-25 to win the second-place game at the Marawood Conference Crossovers on Thursday at Abbotsford High School.
Auburndale finishes the regular season with a 19-3 record and will open its postseason with a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Thursday, March 10, against the winner Tuesday’s quarterfinal between Wild Rose and Stevens Point Pacelli.
In the first-place game, Prentice handed Wausau Newman Catholic its first loss of the season, beating the Cardinals 48-42.
