Auburndale senior Liz Breu was one of four players unanimously picked to the All-Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball first team, as voted on by the conference’s coaches.
Breu led the Marawood South in scoring at 14.8 points a game and field goal percentage at 62.8 percent, while also hauling in 5.1 rebounds a game during conference play.
Breu was joined on the first team by unanimous choices Alex Boehm of Marathon, and Taylor Thomas and Erica Hartke of Wausau Newman Catholic. Faryn Wirkus of Edgar was the other first-team pick.
Thomas, a University of Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit, was named the player of the year.
Auburndale senior Kelly Tomfohrde and Stratford sophomore Hannah Schmitt were among the second-team choices.
Tomfohrde led the conference with 47 assists and was second on the Apaches in scoring at 9.6 points a game.
Schmitt led the South in rebounds at 7.9 per game and scored 8.4 points a game to lead the Tigers.
Kayla Nikolay and Lindsay Gotz of Auburndale, and Haley Austin and Sara Griesbach of Stratford were among the honorable mention choices.
