WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield baseball team’s season came to an end Tuesday with a 10-0 loss to Eau Claire North in a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal at Witter Field.
The Tigers wrap up the season with a 15-6 record.
Eau Claire North ended up winning the sectional, beating Stevens Point 5-2 in the sectional final. Point had beaten Chippewa Falls 5-2 in the other sectional semifinal.
Eau Claire North moves on to the WIAA State Baseball Championships next week in Appleton and will face Reedsburg in a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday.
The other Division 1 quarterfinals will be Verona vs. Hartford, Neenah vs. Kenosha Bradford, and Appleton North vs. Wausau West.
