Spencer/Columbus wrestlers edge Stanley-Boyd/Thorp

SPENCER – Rudy Nieman, Ryan Stange, Lance Neuman and Kyle Andrae each won by pin to lead the Spencer/Marshfield Columbus Catholic wrestling team to a 38-28 win over Stanley-Boyd/Thorp in a Cloverbelt Conference match Friday night at Spencer High School.

Nieman (138 pounds), Neuman (182) and Andrae (285) each won with first-round pins and Stange (145) added a pin with 1:09 left in his match to pace the Rockets.

Dylan Schubert added a technical fall and Zach Schneider and Nick Vaughan each won by forfeit for Spencer/Columbus.

The Rockets are off until Dec. 28 when they participate at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational.
