AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team kept its perfect record intact, rolling past Iola-Scandinavia 76-39 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.
Austin Hawkins scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Tyler Hartle had a season-high 14 points and Cale Weiler added 11 points for the Apaches, who improve to 9-0.
Auburndale cruised out to a 35-17 lead by halftime and continued to pour it on, outscoring the Thunderbirds 24-12 in the third quarter to take a 30-point lead.
Auburndale returns to Marawood Conference South Division action Friday at home against Marathon.
