Wausau West shuts out Marshfield boys hockey

WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys hockey team fell to 0-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, losing 6-0 to Wausau West on Tuesday night at Marathon Park.

West (7-4, 4-0 WVC) scored two goals in each period as it peppered Marshfield goalie Mac Alboreo. Alboreo had to make 54 shots as he faced 60 overall, while Marshfield had just eight shots on goal, all saved by Sam Wiegert.

Seth Wage scored twice for West and added two assists. Tom Kilgore, Kyle Lee, Kevin Conley and Alex Halbrook added the other goals for the Warriors.

Marshfield will be back at Marathon Park on Friday to play Wausau East.
