Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball beats Gilman, closes gap in Cloverbelt East

GILMAN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team improved to 15-4 overall and 13-3 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 61-49 victory over Gilman on Tuesday night at Gilman High School.

The Dons closed to within a game of first-place Augusta – a 69-68 loser at Greenwood on Tuesday – in the Cloverbelt East standings with two conference games remaining.

Columbus Catholic hosts Granton on Friday and Greenwood next Monday, while Augusta finishes with home games against Loyal on Friday and Colby on Monday. Colby is tied with Columbus for second place.
