Athens rolls up 158 points in win during Stratford STAR men’s basketball league action Sunday

STRATFORD – Kyle Davis scored 48 points and Tony Schultz added 38 as Athens rolled up 158 points in a 158-60 win over L&N Hardwoods on Sunday in a Stratford STAR men’s basketball league game.

Chris Hannula also had a prolific offensive performance, scoring 47 points for Smazel’s Hunters Choice in a 96-62 victory over Festival Foods.

In other action Sunday:

*Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill drilled The Shack 103-68 behind 24 points from Dan Weinfurtner and 23 from Neil Weiler. Kevin Leick scored 27 points in the loss for The Shack.

*Chris Klempke scored 27 points and Clint Schlinsog added 24 for After Hours in a 94-67 victory over Resource Recovery.

*Brandon Chrouser scored 21 points to lead Down Under to a 73-31 rout of MOB.

*DFF Kitchen Cabinets beat Lindsey Bar & Grill defeated 89-71. Louie Jansen scored 31 points to lead DFF. Ben Hanson scored 20 for Lindsey.

*Three players scored 20 or more points to lead USBancorp to an 88-71 win over Marawood Construction. Chris Newbury and Malachi David each scored 28 points, and Josh Franklin had 20 points for USBancorp. Mike Reimer scored 29 points for Marawood.
