Marshfield girls hockey team loses opener to Middleton

BLACK RIVER FALLS – The Marshfield girls hockey team dropped its season opener, losing 2-0 to the Middleton Metro Lynx in the first round of the Black River Falls Tournament on Friday.

Lizzi Schieldt and Taylor Olstad each scored for Middleton, with assists from Kathryn Anderson and Amanda Holman.

Marshfield had 20 shots on goal, but all were saved by Middleton goalie MacKenzie Johnson.

Alexis Straughan also had 20 saves in goal for the Tigers.

Marshfield plays against at Black River Falls on Saturday.
