UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team wins eighth straight

RICE LAKE – Corrine Meacham had 24 points and Kaitlynn Mefferd had her third triple-double of season as the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team continued its hot streak with an 89-66 win over UW-Barron County on Wednesday night.

Meacham made 11 of 16 field goals and Mefferd finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Marauders, who won their eighth straight game to improve to 11-2.

Addi Vold drilled four 3-pointers and scored 20 points, and had six assists, and Mckenzie Trunkel had 17 points for UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders are off for finals and the semester break and return to action Wednesday, Jan. 9, when they host UW-Barron County.
