Paige Johnson nets hat trick, leads Marshfield girls hockey to win over Point/Rapids

MARSHFIELD – Paige Johnson racked up a hat trick and assisted on two other goals to lead the Marshfield girls hockey team to a 6-3 win over Point/Rapids in a Great Northern Conference matchup on Friday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Arena.

Johnson scored once in the first period and added a pair of goals in the third as the Tigers remained unbeaten the in Great Northern Conference at 2-0-1. The Tigers improve to 5-4-1 overall. Point/Rapids drops to 3-4 and 2-1 in the GNC.

Rachel Metz had a goal and an assist for the Red Panthers.

Lexi Dupee saved 18 shots in goal for Marshfield.

The Tigers play at Northern Edge (Antigo/Rhinelander) on Tuesday at the Langland County Building in Antigo.
