APPLETON – Kane Seubert won the 182-pound individual championship as the Marshfield wrestling team finished 10th at the Battle of the Fox Tournament on Saturday at Appleton West High School.
Tristan Wilson finished third at 285 and the Tigers had three fourth-place finishes in the tournament.
Noah Gerdes (106), Devon Klement (126) and Mitch Hertel (145) placed fourth for Marshfield. Hertel was injured during the semifinals and was unable to continue.
Appleton North and Little Chute tied for the team title with 198 points, with Middleton finishing a close third with 195.5. Marshfield ended up with 111.5.
The Tigers wrestle at D.C. Everest on Thursday in search of their first Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet win.
