MARSHFIELD – Zach Leggon had a hat trick to help the Marshfield boys hockey team to a 4-4 tie with Chippewa Falls in a nonconference game Friday at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Arena.
Andy Wittman scored the other Marshfield goal as the Tigers move to 5-12-1 this season. Chippewa Falls is now 7-6-1.
The Cardinals outscored Marshfield 3-1 in the third period to forge the tie.
Brandon Nikolai, Bobby Leggon and Nelson Spindler had assists for the Tigers.
Chase Stoffel, Drew Steinmetz, Ryan Swenson and Garrett Nelson had goals, and Nelson had three assists for Chippewa Falls.
Marshfield returns to action Tuesday at home against Stevens Point.
