MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys swim team had two first-place finishes in a 106-64 loss to Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Monday at Marshfield High School.
Denver Anderson, Zach Korth, Evan Schneider and Matt Brown won the 200 medley relay in 1:59.20, and Anderson also took first in the 50 freestyle in 24.70 seconds for the Tigers.
“Practices have been very hard and times are dropping,” Marshfield coach Faye Egger said. “Totally, the team dropped a lot of time. We are looking for a great finish to our season. I can’t wait to see how well the guys will swim when rested.”
Marshfield’s next meet is Thursday at home against Wisconsin Rapids. The meet, which starts at 5:30 p.m., is the final WVC dual of the season. The Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet is Jan. 31 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
