KRONENWETTER – The Auburndale volleyball team started its Marawood Conference South Division schedule with a 3-1 victory over Northland Lutheran on Tuesday at Northland Lutheran High School.
The Apaches won 25-12, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, and are now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Taylor Gotz had 12 kills, and Jenna Peplinski and Shannon Yahnke each added 11 in a balanced attack for Auburndale.
Hannah Castellano had 17 digs, Peplinski added 10 and setter Sydney Schmutzer had 38 assists for the Apaches.
Auburndale hosts Abbotsford in a nonconference match Thursday and will play at the Green Bay East Invitational on Saturday.
