Spencer girls basketball dominates Granton

SPENCER – The Spencer girls basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 57-17 rout of Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at Spencer High School.

The Rockets led 28-9 at halftime and cruised to the victory, improving to 6-6 overall and 4-5 in the Cloverbelt East. Granton remains winless at 0-9 overall and in the conference.

Granton committed 44 turnovers and made only 7 of 34 shots from the field as the Rockets’ defense clamped down.

Liez Endreas scored 14 points and Lexi Baehr had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Spencer, which had 10 different players score in the victory.

Spencer’s next game is Jan. 12 at Marshfield Columbus Catholic.
