Wisconsin Rapids upends Marshfield boys basketball

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys basketball team lost its second-straight Wisconsin Valley Conference game, dropping a 63-48 decision to Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield shot just 38 percent overall and was 3-for-22 from 3-point range in the loss as it played without starting forward Reed Miller.

Seth Anderson scored 25 points for the Tigers, who fall to 7-8 overall and 5-3 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Wisconsin Rapids improves to 9-7 and 5-3 in conference play.

Marshfield plays at Merrill on Tuesday.
