Marshfield boys basketball routs Wausau West in conference finale

WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys basketball team wrapped up its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule with a resounding 62-37 win over Wausau West on Friday night at West High School.

Marshfield held Wausau West to under 20 points in both halves as it was in control throughout.

Seth Anderson scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Brant Bohman hit four 3-pointers and scored 19 points for the Tigers. The two combined to make 14 of 19 free throws and Marshfield was 20 of 27 overall at the line.

Marshfield is now 10-11 overall and finishes the WVC season with an 8-4 record and is guaranteed at least a tie for second place in the standings.

Marshfield finishes its regular-season schedule Tuesday at Eau Claire Memorial. The WIAA playoff brackets will be announced on Sunday.
