Stratford boys pull past Phillips, improve to 13-0

PHILLIPS – The Stratford boys basketball team ran its record to a perfect 13-0 with a 63-44 win over Phillips in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Phillips High School.

Stratford led 34-23 at halftime and maintained its double-digit lead.

Ben Barten made 10 of 15 shots and scored 23 points to lead the Tigers, who are now 9-0 in the Marawood South.

Vaughn Breit, Teddy Redman and Chandler Schmidt added nine points each for Stratford. Barten and Breit both had nine rebounds as well.

Stratford hosts Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday.
