Stratford girls basketball blasts Rib Lake

RIB LAKE – Breanna Ackley had 23 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the Stratford girls basketball team to a dominating 56-21 win over Rib Lake in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Rib Lake High School.

Stratford held Rib Lake to just seven made baskets in the game, rolled out to a 34-9 lead by halftime and cruised to the road win.

Emily Hughes, Tanaya Schillinger, Ashley O’Neil and McKenna Leonhardt chipped in six points each for the Tigers.

Stratford will wrap up its regular-season schedule with a nonconference game against Nekoosa on Tuesday and a Marawood South finale against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday. Both games will be at Stratford High School and begin at 7:15 p.m.
