Stratford boys basketball rips Edgar

STRATFORD – Ten different players scored for the Stratford boys basketball team as the Tigers rolled to a 60-32 win over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division game Monday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers are now 20-0 overall and 15-0 in the Marawood Conference South. Edgar falls to 17-4 and 11-4 in conference play.

Stratford led 27-23 at halftime before blowing the game open with a dominating second half. The Tigers outscored Edgar 33-9 the rest of the way.

Both teams finish their regular-season and Marawood South schedules on Thursday. Edgar hosts Marathon and Stratford will be at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.

Ben Barten had 19 points and eight rebounds, Vaughn Breit added eight points and 11 rebounds, and Max Vanderhoof also had eight points for Stratford.
