Marshfield boys basketball drops road game at Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Joe Reuter poured in 34 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Chippewa Falls to a 60-47 win over Marshfield in a nonconference boys basketball game Wednesday night at Chippewa Falls High School.

The Cardinals (4-1) took a 30-20 lead into halftime and outscored Marshfield (1-4) by three in the second half to hold on to the double-digit victory.

Reuter made 14 of 23 shots from the field, including four 3-pointers, and also had six assists and three steals for Chippewa Falls.

Sam Roherty scored 14 points and Chase Hinson added 12 for Marshfield.

Marshfield will play at Wausau East on Saturday in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game.
