Marshfield girls basketball pulls past Oshkosh North

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls basketball team snagged its second win of the season, downing Oshkosh North 44-33 in a nonconference game Wednesday afternoon at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield led 17-15 at halftime before pulling away in the second half, posting a nine-point advantage.

Quincy Lang had 15 points and six rebounds, Maddie Michaelis added 13 points, eight assists, five rebounds and four steals, and Loryn Jakobi had seven points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers (2-7).

Marshfield struggled shooting, making just 11 of 44 field goal attempts, but made up for it at the free throw line, making 18 of 28 fouls shots.

Marshfield returns to action Tuesday with a nonconference game at Chippewa Falls.
