Marshfield boys tennis drops match at SPASH

STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point won six matches in straight sets, downing Marshfield 6-1 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis match Thursday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Marshfield’s lone win came from Sam Roherty at No. 2 singles. He defeated Matt Davis 6-0, 6-2. The Tigers fall to 1-1 in the WVC.

Stevens Point (2-0 WVC) swept the three doubles matches and won the other three singles matches in straight sets.

The Tigers will compete at the Menomonie Quad on Friday. Both teams will compete in Wisconsin Valley Conference meets Tuesday. Stevens Point will be at D.C. Everest and Marshfield will host Wausau East.
