WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Stratford defeated Assumption with a 3-0 sweep in a Marawood Conference South opener at Assumption High School on Tuesday.
The Tigers won 25-20, 25-19, and 25-22.
Ally Zuleger had 10 assists and four kills, and Hailey Chapel added nine assists and four kills for Stratford. Kalyn Schueller led the Tigers with six digs and Tessa Berg had seven service aces.
Stratford will play a nonconference match at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Thursday. Assumption will be at home against Neillsville on Thursday.
