Marshfield boys tennis dominates Wisconsin Rapids in WVC opener

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield boys tennis team swept the four singles matches and defeated Wisconsin Rapids 5-1 in its Wisconsin Valley Conference opener Thursday at Lincoln High School.

Ryan Paulman, Dillon Scheuer, Kai Rens and Chase Hinson each won in straight sets for the Tigers, losing a total of just four games.

Marshfield also earned a win at No. 2 doubles as Kennan Chojnacki and Payton Smith rolled 6-0, 6-1.

Marshfield plays at Wausau East on Friday, and both teams will compete at the La Crosse Central Quad on Saturday.
