GREEN BAY – The Auburndale volleyball team won three of five matches to finish second at the eight-team Green Bay East Invitational on Saturday.
Auburndale defeated Green Bay East 25-12, 25-5, New London in comeback fashion 21-25, 25-8, 15-6, and Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, and lost to Southern Door 16-25, 25-11, 15-12, and in the championship match to N.E.W. Lutheran.
Josie Ertl had 22 kills, Bri Weiler had 14 kills, and Ashlyn Grimm piled up 66 assists and seven service aces in the five matches for Auburndale
Auburndale will compete at the Wausau West Quadrangular meet on Tuesday, along with Lakeland and Marathon.
