UW-Marshfield men’s basketball team hangs on to beat UW-Baraboo

MARSHFIELD – Trevor Gorman poured in 25 points and Jake Scheppler added 17 as the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team won its second straight Wisconsin Collegiate Conference game, beating UW-Baraboo 58-52 on Wednesday at the Marauder Gym.

Gorman did most of his damage at the free-throw line, making 11 of 15 attempts. Scheppler was 7 of 12 from the field.

Joe Moser led the Fighting Spirits with 16 points.

The Marauders improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the WCC.

UW-Marshfield hosts UW-Rock County at 3 p.m. Saturday.
