Marshfield boys hockey shuts out Black River Falls to win Tomah Tournament

TOMAH – The Marshfield boys hockey team earned the Tomah Thanksgiving Tournament title with a 4-0 shutout of Black River Falls on Saturday night at the Tomah Ice Arena.

Joe Cashmer scored just 5:40 into the game for Marshfield, and Tyler Reissmann and Noah Peterson added goals before the end of the first period to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

Reissmann added another goal midway through the second period to finish the scoring.

Charlie Kenney and Tanner Shortt each had assists for Marshfield.

Cole Halvorsen had 21 saves in goal for Marshfield (2-0).

The Tigers hosts Waupaca on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for their home opener at the Marshfield Ice Arena.
