WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield wrestling team finished 3-1 and placed third at the Devil Duals on Saturday at the Woodside Center Dome.
In the 32-team bracketed dual tournament, Marshfield defeated Iowa-Grant/Highland 63-18 and Muskego 46-35 to reach the semifinals, where it lost to La Crosse Aquinas 39-31. The Tigers rebounded in the third-place match to defeat Shiocton 48-30.
Brett Franklin (145 pounds), Hoyt Blaskowski (152) and Garrett Willuweit (170) each went 4-0 for Marshfield, with Franklin earning three pins and a forfeit win, Blakskowki pinning two opponents and winning twice by forfeit, and Willuweit ending up with two pins, a decision and a technical fall victory.
Caleb Dennee (160), Owen Greisbach (182), Adrian Krueger (285), Jace Kelnhofer (120) and Easton Ledden (126) each finished 3-1 for the Tigers.
Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest for a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet on Thursday before traveling to the Shawano Invitational next Saturday, Dec. 17.
