Stratford girls basketball dominates second half to defeat Shullsburg

STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team dominated the second half and pulled past Shullsburg 51-40 to win the championship game of its home Stratford Holiday Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Stratford High School.

Shullsburg led 19-17 at halftime before the Tigers pulled away in the second half with a 13-point advantage to win by nine.

Bailey Linzmaier had 19 points, Tessa Berg added 14 points, and Lauren Kraus had 11 rebounds for Stratford, which is now 6-3 this season.

Stratford returns to Marawood Conference South Division action Tuesday at Wausau Newman Catholic.
