Owen-Withee tops Stratford boys basketball

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team dropped a 62-48 decision to Owen-Withee in a semifinal of the Stratford Holiday Tournament on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers shot just 30 percent (17 of 55) in the loss and fall to 4-4 this season.

Braeden Schueller had 13 points and John Seitz added 11 for Stratford.

Owen-Withee statistics were not available.

Stratford will play Wausau East in the third-place game of the tournament at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Bangor defeated East 80-77 in the other semifinal and will face Owen-Withee at 7:15 p.m. in the championship game.
