Edgar holds off Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball at Sentry Classic

STEVENS POINT – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with a 51-45 loss to Edgar at the Sentry Classic on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Edgar led 28-21 at halftime and were able to hold on to its lead despite a feisty effort from the Dons, who stayed close throughout.

Jenna Kibbel had 16 points, Hailey Zimmermann added 12, and Hailey Klumb chipped in 10 for Columbus Catholic, which falls to 7-6 this season.

Reagan Borchardt scored 15 points to lead Edgar (7-2).

Columbus Catholic hosts Loyal for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
