SPARTA – The Marshfield wrestling team won four individual titles and had four others place in the top three as the Tigers finished second in the team standings at the Sparta Invitational on Saturday at Sparta High School.
Holmen won the team title with 244.5 points, with Marshfield second with 200.5.
Jon Sternweis (27-10) was first at 106 pounds, Hoyt Blaskowski (33-3) continued his dominance to win the 145-pound title, Caleb Dennee (29-5) won at 152, and Garrett Willuweit (33-6) won the 160-pound title for Marshfield.
Brett Franklin (29-8) was second at 138 pounds, Adrian Kruger (25-15) was the runner-up at 285, and Easton Ledden (120) and Mason Seidl (182) each took third for the Tigers.
Marshfield will compete in its final Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet of the season Thursday at Merrill.
