GILMAN – The Columbus Catholic baseball team extended its winning streak to six with a 12-1 rout of Gilman in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Wednesday at Gilman High School.

Blake Jakobi allowed one run through five innings and the Dons scored three times in the sixth to finish off the game via the 10-run rule, improving to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Click here to view the Cloverbelt East baseball standings

Mac Konieczny had a single, a double and two RBI, and Carter Sommer added two hits and knocked in a run for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic will play at Loyal on Friday and can clinch the Cloverbelt East championship with a victory. Game time is 5 p.m.
