Spencer baseball holds off Loyal

SPENCER – Spencer scored seven times in the first three innings and held on from there to defeat Loyal 7-5 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday at Spencer High School.

Loyal served as the home team and Spencer jumped on the board right away, scoring four times in the top of the first and never trailed.

Andrew Sieracki earned the win, striking out nine in five innings. He also had a double and three RBI.

Reed Knecht had two hits and scored twice, and Kaiden Miller had a single and two RBI in the win for the Rockets (11-6, 8-3 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer plays a nonconference game at home Thursday against Stratford starting at 5 p.m.
