Columbus Catholic girls tennis drops GNC match at Newman Catholic

WAUSAU – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls tennis team won two singles matches in a 5-2 loss to Wausau Newman Catholic in a Great Northern Conference match Thursday at Oak Island Park.

Akosua Yeboah won a three-set match at No. 1 singles and Maria Elizabeth Garcia earned a straight-set win at No. 2 singles for the Dons, who fall to 1-5 in the GNC.

Columbus Catholic is back in action next Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Rhinelander Invitational.
