MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team finished off a perfect Cloverbelt Conference East Division season, and its seventh-straight conference championship, with a 3-0 sweep of Gilman on Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons won 25-22, 25-13, 25-8, to finish the Cloverbelt East season 7-0 as they did not lose a set in any match.

Aaliyah Krenn had 12 kills, Courtney Sommer had 11 kills and 20 assists, and Mattea Schlafke, Shelby Spata, Emma Dolgner and Aubrey Waldhauser each had five kills for the Dons.

Alayna Egle added 18 assists, Izzy Hoglund had 11 digs and Delia Trader had nine digs as well for Columbus Catholic.

The Dons will be back in action Thursday, Oct. 12, in the first-place game of the Cloverbelt Crossovers at Chippewa Falls McDonell.
