Auburndale boys basketball grabs road win at Phillips

PHILLIPS – Kaden Anderson scored 25 points and Caden Weinfurter drilled four 3-pointers to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 56-39 win over Phillips in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Phillips High School.

Weinfurter finished with 18 points for the Eagles, who are now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Marawood South.

Anderson made 10 of 18 shots from the field, while the rest of the Auburndale squad was just 11-for-32.

Drew Hauschild had 18 points for Phillips (2-2, 0-2 Marawood North).

Auburndale will play a Marawood South game at Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
