Marshfield girls basketball erases halftime deficit to defeat Holmen

HOLMEN – Ashley Grancorvitz made five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Marshfield girls basketball team to its seventh-straight victory, a 54-47 nonconference win over Holmen, on Thursday at Holmen High School.

The Tigers trailed 29-28 at halftime before surging back with an eight-point advantage in the second half to pull out the victory and improve to 8-1 this season.

Raella Schueller added 16 points and six rebounds for Marshfield, which had eight 3-pointers overall in the win.

Marshfield will host its annual holiday tournament next week, taking on Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, and Oshkosh West at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29.
