The WIAA announced its girls basketball playoff brackets Sunday and Auburndale was rewarded with a No. 1 seed in its Division 3 regional for the upcoming playoffs that begin March 9.

Marshfield is a No. 2 seed in its Division 1 sectional, and Marshfield Columbus Catholic is a No. 2 seed in its Division 4 regional.

Stratford is the same regional as Auburndale and is the No. 7 seed, while Spencer is a No. 3 seed in its Division 3 regional.

Auburndale (15-6) will host Stevens Point Pacelli (3-17) in a Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 9. The winner moves on to a regional semifinal against the winner of No. 5 Manawa (8-12) and No. 4 Marathon (11-10) on March 11. The regional final is at Wausau West at 1 p.m. March 13.

Auburndale wraps up its regular season Monday in a Marawood North-South crossover third-place game at home against Chequamegon.

Stratford (5-16) will play at No. 2 Edgar (14-7) in a regional quarterfinal March 9. The winner plays the winner of the No. 6 Iola-Scandinaiva (7-14) vs. No. 3 Amherst (14-7) game in a regional semifinal March 11. The Tigers play a nonconference game at home against Northland Lutheran on Monday to finish their regular-season schedule.

The sectional semifinal for the Auburndale and Stratford bracket is March 18 at Antigo and the sectional final is March 20 at De Pere.

Spencer (14-6) is in a different Division 3 bracket and will host No. 6 Chetek (5-13) in a regional quarterfinal March 9. The winner plays the winner of the No. 7 Stanley-Boyd (7-13) vs. No. 2 Neillsville (17-3) game in a regional semifinal on March 11. The regional final is at Eau Claire North on March 13, with the sectional semifinal on March 18 at Eau Claire Memorial and the sectional final at Altoona on March 20.

In Division 1, Marshfield (18-2) earns a bye with the No. 2 seed in the 14-team sectional. The Tigers will host the winner of the No. 7 Superior (12-8) vs. No. 10 Antigo (9-12) game in a regional semfinal at 3 p.m. March 13.

If the Tigers win, they would play in a sectional semifinal at Wausau West at 8 p.m. Friday, March 19. The sectional final is at West at 7 p.m. on March 20.

Menomonie (19-1) is the No. 1 seed in the sectional.

Columbus Catholic (12-7) hosts No. 7 Cornell (2-17) in a Division 4 regional quarterfinal on March 9. The winner takes on the winner of the No. 3 Greenwood (12-8) vs. No. 6 Northland Lutheran (4-17) game on March 11. The regional final is at 1 p.m. March 13 at Marathon, with the sectional semifinal and final at Spooner on March 19 and 20.

The Dons host Loyal on Monday in their final Cloverbelt Conference East Division game, then will play in a East-West crossover game on Friday to end their regular season.

The WIAA State Girls Basketball Championships will be held at the Kohl Center in Madison from March 25-27.
