Marshfield wins four events, places third at D.C. Everest Boys Track Invite

WESTON – Marshfield won four events, including two by Thomas Cashmer, and placed third at the five-team D.C. Everest Boys Track & Field Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

D.C. Everest won 11 events and racked up 151 points, well ahead of runner-up Marathon (73.5) and Marshfield (69).

Cashmer won the 800 meters in 2:12.48 and the 1,600 in 4:46.63 for the Tigers.

Also winning events for Marshfield were Monty Woltmann in the 400 (57.18) and the 400 relay team of Simon Dagit, Jackson Anderson, Erik Lien and J.J. Steinbach in 46.35 seconds.

Ethan Knecht took second in the shot put (49-11) and third in the discus (136-7), and Dillon McHugh was third in the 200 (25.27) as well for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Relays on Tuesday at Goerke Park in Stevens Point.
