PHILLIPS – Three Stratford pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout as the Tigers crushed Phillips 17-0 in a nonconference game Friday at Phillips High School.

Drew Gage threw three innings, and Vance Kielman and Brady Berg finished it off with one inning apiece as the Tigers’ pitchers allowed just two hits and one walk in the five-inning victory.

Henry Zaleski and Jaeger Ormond both had two hits, and Riley Spindler, Jack Tubbs and Brady Schmidt all drove in three runs for Stratford (8-3).

Stratford returns to Marawood Conference South Division action Tuesday at Edgar.
