MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls soccer team suffered its fifth-straight loss as Eau Claire North scored with 21 seconds to go and steal a 2-1 win in a nonconference match Friday at Heiting Community Stadium.
The game was scoreless until Claire Gannon scored for Eau Claire North (3-2-4) 10:39 into the second half.
Marshfield tied it 13 minutes later on a North own goal and the game remained knotted at 1-1 until Gannon scored on a miscue near the goal by the Tigers with 21 seconds remaining.
Marshfield (3-6-1) will host Holmen for another nonconference game Monday at 6:30 p.m.
