STEVENS POINT – Zach Korth won the 100 breaststroke and the 400 freestyle relay team also was victorious for Marshfield’s lone two victories in a 100-65 loss to Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swim meet on Tuesday night at Stevens Point Area Senior High.
Korth won the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.75 and teamed with Bret Roeglin, Brian Engel and Denver Anderson to win the 400 freestyle relay in 4:13.67.
Marshfield had three second-place finishes in the meet. Engel, Korth, Anderson and Trevyn Tham was second in the 200 medley relay (1:57.60), Anderson took second in the 100 backstroke (1:04.89) and Graeme Jacobson took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:25.51).
Stevens Point is now 6-0 in WVC dual meets, while Marshfield falls to 1-4.
The Tigers host Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
